A peripheral arterial disease (PAD) study — also called an ankle-brachial index (ABI) study — measures blood flow and circulation in the arteries of your legs. It detects blockages or narrowing that cause pain, cramping, or fatigue when walking. The test is non-invasive and takes about 30 minutes.
